The information you need, delivered

A quick absence update can make the working day easier.

Some mornings are busy before they even begin. An employee is on holiday, someone else is away, and a manager needs to know who is available to cover the day.

Awayly offers opt-in absence summary emails so owners, admins and managers can see relevant approved absences. You choose the frequency, delivery time and which roles receive the messages.

Stop hunting for updates

Checking who is away should not mean chasing messages.

For businesses with multiple employees, absence visibility is a small detail that makes a big difference.

01

Last-minute surprises

A manager starts the morning without an immediate reminder of who is on approved leave.

02

Too many places to check

Holiday information is spread across a shared calendar, email threads and messages.

03

The wrong people get updates

Company-wide lists are not always appropriate for managers who only need to see their direct reports.

How email summaries work

Choose the schedule, recipients and team scope.

These summaries are optional and are controlled from your company settings.

01

Switch on the summaries

Under Settings → Company & holiday year, enable daily, weekly or both types of team absence email.

02

Set a convenient time

Choose the send time for your daily summary, or the weekday and send time for your weekly overview of the coming seven days.

03

Pick the recipients

Include owners, admins and/or managers. Managers can be limited to their own assigned employees while owners and admins receive a company-wide summary.

Timely team availability

Help managers prepare without another login.

Summaries are based on approved time-off records and are designed to complement the team calendar, not replace it. The people receiving them can plan around upcoming absence.

  • Daily “Who’s away today?” email
  • Weekly overview for the next seven days
  • Your choice of weekday and email time
  • Send to owners, admins and managers as required
  • Option to restrict manager summaries to their direct reports

Control and privacy

You choose who receives an update.

Absence digests are not switched on for every company by default. An owner or admin can enable them and choose recipient roles. Direct-report-only updates can keep managers focused on their own teams.
